| Strategic Plan 2004-2008 To become a national institution of reference in the funding of programs or conservation actions and the sustainable management of the environment on the community level In the context of the realisation of its Strategic Plan of 2004-2008, the foundation has targeted to become a national institution of reference in the funding of programs or conservation actions and the sustainable management of the environment on the community level In addition, the stress is put on the place that is taken by the local organisations and communities that are not only simple beneficiaries but also partners of Tany Meva on the one hand. On the other hand, some particular efforts are undertaken to reinforce the finance resources so as to better serve the mission and the vision of the foundation that is looking to emerging and developing some active and responsible communities that are proud of their environment. 3 specific objectives are fixed until 2008: - develop the impacts of the actions and investments supported by Tany Meva on the Environment and the Biodiversity - diversify and increase the financial resources to support the mission - develop the specific competences in environmental actions funding and conservation in the community. Financing Programs: Quality, Visibility, Sustainability As a financial institution, Tany Meva provides some financial supports to all apolitical organisations working for their mission. We are studying your projects that are related to our funding programs and we offer a financial support for their realisation. Through the strategic plan 2004-2008, the funding of the foundation is directed to the research of the quality of the interventions of the local and community organisations (OLC), the visibility of the funded actions and their sustainability. The latter is based upon more and more consistent contributions from the local partners that Tany Meva is looking to develop and to channel. Our different funding programs are developed around 4 main environmental themes: - Climate Changes -Communication and Environmental Education -Community based management of the Biodiversity -Supports to innovating projects Climate changes : The focus of the Climate Changes is composed made up of 3 programmes: -the creation and restoration of community forests or Ala Meva -the ecological restoration and carbon offset -the community ecological energy or Angovo Meva Communication and environmental education: There are 3 distinct programs in this point: -the study and the discovery of the nature or Edena through schools and universities -the creation and the embellishment of the gardens and green areas in urban areas or Tanàna Meva. -the valorisation of the environmental knowledge and cultures or didactic supports.
